Each of our retirement villages are set on the coast and provide spacious accommodation as well as beautiful gardens and communal facilities.
When you move in to an Athorpe home, you have the option to enjoy mealtimes in the communal areas with other residents, or to enjoy some private dining time in your room.
Our expert chefs prepare a daily menu with nutritious options for you to choose from based on the likes and dislikes of the residents. What’s more, our care team are always on hand to support and encourage residents at mealtimes, ensuring everyone gets the nutrition and hydration they need. If there is something particular you want, please just ask.
At each home there are care, housekeeping and kitchen teams all working together to help you feel at home. Each of them play a key role in delivering the high-quality care you deserve. Each of our homes have an experienced registered manager, who will manage the daily running of the home. They’ll get to know you and your family, and are on hand should you have any questions or concerns. In turn, our managers have a strong Athorpe support network who know care inside-out and are passionate about high-quality care.
Our care team follows regular shift patterns to provide you with continuity of care, allowing you to build relationships with your care team and feel both safe and comfortable.
In 2021, star of screen and stage Joanna Lumley thanked Athorpe Healthcare team members as we awarded them Covid Hero Medals to recognise their incredible efforts during the pandemic.
And in 2022, we launched our first ever Athorpe Heroes Awards to recognise and reward team members who go above and beyond to make an incredible impact in their roles.
Now an annual event, the Athorpe Heroes Awards attract hundreds of nominations, with winners attending a prestigious ceremony every June.
